ST. CROIX - The Virgin Islands Police Department is searching for a 27-year-old man as investigators continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding a double homicide that claimed the lives of two brothers in Castle Coakley early Sunday morning.

Police have identified Eryk Simon as a person they are seeking in connection with the investigation. According to a VIPD wanted alert, authorities have advised the public that Simon should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The search follows the deaths of brothers Yordani Eduardo, 30, and Delli Eduardo, 25.

According to VIPD, the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple reports at approximately 4:13 a.m. on August 9 of two people who had been shot in the vicinity of La Terraza Bar and Restaurant in Castle Coakley.

Police officers and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the area and found one victim unresponsive on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim had been transported to Juan Luis Hospital in a private vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said the two men were subsequently identified by their next of kin as Yordani and Delli Eduardo.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating the incident as a double homicide.

As part of the investigation, VIPD issued a wanted alert for Simon. Police say he may be traveling in a white four-door Mazda SUV and have asked members of the public who encounter him not to approach him.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting, was in the Castle Coakley area around the time of the incident, or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact 911 or the VIPD Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-778-2211.
